What is a intraoral dental X-ray machine?

A dental X-ray machine is a specialized device for obtaining high-precision periapical radiographs that allow the dentist to thoroughly evaluate the jaw, dental roots, and detect various pathologies early on. Thru the emission from the generator block, of collimated ionizing radiation to the surface to be radiographed and with the help of a receptor such as a radiographic plate, a radiovisiograph, or a phosphor plate.

To conduct this study, an X-ray machine is used, directing the radiation beam toward the dental piece and, intraorally, toward a plate or a radiovision, in the specific area where the radiograph is required. The latter is directly connected to a computer, allowing the image to be viewed in seconds with excellent clarity and reducing radiation exposure.
